1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using Chaegim, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Age requirement

18 years of age or older is required to use this service. By signing up, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Chaegim reserves the right to terminate accounts where this requirement is not met.

3. AI disclosure

Chaegim is an AI. You are interacting with a computer program, not a human being. Chaegim is not a therapist, psychologist, counsellor, or medical professional.

Chaegim is designed to support self-reflection and personal growth. Some users develop emotional connections to AI companions. Chaegim is built to encourage real-world relationships and professional support — not to replace them.

4. Not a medical device

Chaegim is not a medical device and is not FDA regulated.

Chaegim is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or emergency services immediately.

4. Subscription and billing

Chaegim offers a 14-day free trial with full Pro access. No credit card is required to start the trial.

After the trial period, continued use of paid features requires a Core ($79/yr) or Pro ($139/yr) subscription, billed annually.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chaegim and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Chaegim's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Chaegim in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Chaegim to harass, abuse, or harm others; to generate illegal content; to attempt to circumvent safety systems; or to use the service in any way that violates applicable law.

7. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Queensland, Australia.

8. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
